The 8th EuroAfrica-ICT Concertation Meeting successfully took place on June 23, 2010, at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.

EuroAfrica-ICT Concertation Meetings – Short reminder…
An increasing number of regional, national and international initiatives addressing Euro-Africa S&T cooperation in ICT have been developed in the last few years. At least 3 new EuroAfrica-ICT Concertation Meetings will be organised over the period 2010-2011 in Europe and in Africa in order to facilitate closer interaction and the development of synergies between the EuroAfrica-ICT initiative and these other related initiatives.

Thanks to an invitation from Karine Valin
Coordinator | EuroAfrica-ICT.org EU/FP7 Project
Managing Director | Sigma Orionis | Supporting Collaborative Research & Global Innovation in ICT I gave an update on the growth of our African Incubator Network. A number of interested attendees followed up with requests for additional information.

This initiative is gathering momentum and a number of African – European linkages have been forged. Follow this link to view some particularly good presentations on investment in the backbone to Africa and land-locked countries.
